Come join neighbors and path users to help us keep the Watertown-Cambridge Greenway green!
We'll focus this session on both invasive removal and planting! Fall is a great time to plant, and we have lot of seedlings we want to get into the ground. Native plants help to keep invasive plants from spreading and support our native ecology. As time and weather allows, we'll:
Register to get reminders and event updates (and help us ensure we have enough snacks!).
Details:
* Starting point is at the ramp leading to the Greenway on Holworthy St., across from Sofra. (This is *not* the usual meeting spot behind Target.)
* Please bring: drinking water, a hat, garden gloves and clippers/pruners if you have them. Please wear long pants, socks, and closed toe/sturdy footwear. A kneeling pad or similar foam pad can be helpful. We also recommend long sleeves for protection against bugs and scratchy plants.
* We will provide trash bags, and extra gardening gloves and other tools.
* If you haven't yet signed a 2025 waiver, you will be asked to sign this waiver upon arrival. Any participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, or bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian in advance.
