Help keep the Greenway green!
Come join neighbors and path users as we work to remove invasive plants and restore wildlife habitat on the Watertown-Cambridge Greenway.
We expect to focus this work session on cutting a large patch of Japanese knotweed west of Arlington St.
Register to get reminders and event updates (and help us ensure we have enough snacks!).
Details:
* Starting point is southwest of the intersection with Arlington and Nichols St (near the bench). See the area highlighted in yellow in this screenshot.
* Please bring: drinking water, a hat, and garden gloves if you have them. Please wear long pants, socks, and closed toe/sturdy footwear. A kneeling pad or similar foam pad can be helpful. We also recommend long sleeves for protection against bugs and occasional poison ivy.
* We will provide trash bags, and extra gardening gloves and other tools.
* Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and added to the adult's waiver.
