Join WCG for our second pilot project converting one of our WCG’s board member’s barren planting strips in Watertown into a pollinator garden in one day. Tools and hardy perennial plants suited to New England’s harsh winters of snow, ice, and rock salt and the rough roadside location will be provided. Take home knowledge about native (and non-native) plants and the resources you need to transform your own space and help the city compensate for some of our lost greenery. Please bring your own gardening gloves. Registration is limited to ten gardeners. Volunteers are welcome!

Address will be shared when you receive your registration confirmation

We will be removing Crabgrass - Placing Stepping Stones - putting a Barrier of Cardboard down - laying a bed of compost and planting a cover crop of peas.

The pollinator plants have been ordered from Bluestem Native and will be ready to leave the Greenhouse mid May.
