Join volunteers from Watertown Community Gardens in maintaining our public gardens, which support native bees, butterflies, birds, and more.

We will start each maintenance day by taking a close look at the gardens, to see which bees and other wildlife might be living there.

Spring garden maintenance activities may include planting new plants, weeding, cutting stems, pruning, adding compost, mulching, etc.

This event also includes the annual Plant Swap!  If you have extra seeds or plants that you'd like to share with other gardeners in the community, please bring them.  Specific instructions to prevent spread of invasive species, like the Asian jumping worm will be provided via email in advance of the event.

The specific garden location and detailed instructions for the volunteer event will be shared via email.
