This is a pop-up event, making up for our rained out event this past week!
The focus for this Greenway work day will be on planting some aggressive, sun-loving native plants along the fence where we cut and pulled mugwort last weekend, near the intersection with Cottage St. If we have time and energy, we'll keep going northeast, to cut knotweed, mugwort and other noxious weeds around the hazelnut seedlings we planted last fall.
Register to get any last-minute event updates (and help us ensure we have enough snacks!).
Details:
* Starting point is at the trail intersection with Cottage St. (*not* the usual spot behind Target)
* Please bring: drinking water, a hat, and garden gloves if you have them. Please wear long pants, socks, and closed toe/sturdy footwear. A kneeling pad or similar foam pad can be helpful. We also recommend long sleeves for protection against bugs and scratchy plants.
* We will provide extra gardening gloves and other tools.
* If you haven't yet signed a 2025 waiver, you will be asked to sign this waiver upon arrival. Any participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, or bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian in advance.
