Registration

Registration is closed

NOTE LATER START TIME OF 9 AM, due to the season change.

We'll focus this session on planting! Fall is a great time to plant, and we have a lot of seedlings and transplants we want to get in the ground. Native plants help to keep invasive plants from spreading, and support our native ecology. On this date, we'll work in the drainage "pond" close to the Huron Ave bridge:

  • Plant Joe Pye weeds, rose milkweed, elderberry and willow seedlings.
  • Transplant 2 small clethra shrubs from nearby spots where they have not thrived (not enough moisture) and transplant 2 calycanthus shrubs to their spots.
  • Cut and/or pull invasive plants in this area, opening up space for the native shrubs planted in the last few years.

Steady rain or downpours will cancel!
