Come join our small crew, every Thursday morning, to enjoy some time outside and help this beautiful pathway stay green.
We will remove invasive plants (garlic mustard, Japanese knotweed, mugwort, etc.), plant and water native plants, add/repair rabbit cages, and pick up trash. We'll focus on the Greenway between the Huron Ave. bridge and Cottage St.
Register to help us keep track of volunteer hours, bring enough tools (and snacks!), and let you know about any changes in time or location. Steady rain or downpours will cancel!
Details:
* Starting point is the benches at the Holworthy Place entrance to the Greenway in Cambridge (behind the Star Market on Mt. Auburn St.).
* Please bring: drinking water, garden gloves, and any tools (clippers, trowel, garden fork) if you have them. Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed toe/sturdy footwear.
* We will provide trash bags, gardening gloves and other tools as needed for the day's activities.
* Any participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
