DATE CHANGE: April 2, 2026 - 5 to 6:45pm

This Thursday we will be turning a fellow Watertown resident’s barren planting strips in Watertown into a pollinator garden. Tools will be provided. Take home knowledge about native (and non-native) plants and the resources you need to transform your own space and help the city compensate for some of our lost greenery. Please bring your own gardening gloves, if you have them.  A limited quantity of gloves will be available to borrow.

We require that all event participants fill out the 2026 WCG volunteer waiver.  If you cannot fill it out online, we will have a few paper copies available.

The Address is 35 Wilson Ave, we will meet there at 5:00 pm and work until we are done.  We expect this to take about an hour, depending on the size of the team.

We will be removing Crabgrass - putting a Barrier of Cardboard down - laying a bed of compost and planting a cover crop of peas.

The pollinator plants will be selected and a planting day in the beginning of June will be scheduled.

If you have any questions, or need any further information. Feel free to reach out.  If you cannot make the event, please let us know.
